The work 'Balance' was derived from exploring both the history of glass and the qualities of glass. The design is inspired by the design of glass-rhytons, glass-horns, and flute-goblets. It is an intuitive interpretation of the traditional forms of glass objects.

It is a fragile 'Balance' between the qualities of molten glass and the qualities of a solid object. Furthermore, it is a balance of the inner proportions between edges, and a dynamic balance between empty and full.
